The Filing Fee is an optional status for Master’s, or Doctoral degree students who have completed all degree requirements (coursework and/or research) except for their “official” submission of a thesis, dissertation, or the final formal examination.
The Filing Fee may be paid in lieu of registration for only one academic quarter or summer during the student’s entire graduate career, irrespective of how many graduate programs the students has enrolled in.
There are separate Filing Fee forms for the academic year or summer as well as for domestic or international students. Please note there are slight differences between the summer and academic year filing fee which is explained in the policy links below.
